Irish Web Awards

It was such an excellent and friendly event. It was great putting the faces to the names that I’ve been interacting with over the past few months.
I walked in and met ellybabes and asked did she want a hand, and from there in it was non stop and on the go getting folks registered and working out way through the most magical long winded non sorted lists known to man. My apologies to many people on the spelling of you name. Yes I know there is irony there when you see mine.
So the event kicked off and everyone was in flying form and Rick O’Shea was getting folks in the mood with some friendly banter. On came Rick Astley! Lordie that flipping song has not left my head! The awards started and the entertainment kicked in.
Elly was on drink duty and well, that’s best left alone
I was twittering away during the event and random polls during the event showed I wasn’t the only one. I was however shocked at the lack of nominees that didn’t turn up. I mean if folks have gone to the rounds of voting for them and thought they were good enough to be nominated and short listed then I think the least they can do is pop along. Then again I don’t think I’m the only one who thought that.
Anyway, a great night was had, and there were the most yummiest cupcakes known to man present for everyone! I got to meet some very interesting people at the awards. I’ve followed a few that I could remember their names/handler but I’m going to have to keep a close eye on twitter and see if I can figure out the rest. Thanks once again Mulley, great night!
