I wasn't really nervous until the last minute - I've been to a few internet meetups (though never in Ireland!) but on those occasions I had been around the online community for a lot longer and got to know people, which made it easy. This was the first time I'd been to a meetup as a newbie, hence the last-minute nervousness. It was well worth it though and I hope to make the Porterhouse on the 18th.
