Post Twitter Meet up
Last week saw up have the July 4th Celebrations of twitter meet up! Small turn out, but none the less very enjoyable to put the face to the names. We met at the Bull and Castle, different location from the previous meet up, but we were staill able to find people as Elly had her cake baked and we did use twitter to locate people.

So a few questions that came up from @debbiemet how do you know who people are when you’ve never met them before? Are folks being nervous at first face to face meeting? I guess I’d never thought about it. I’m so used to randomly turning up to events and just jumping head in. But I guess it may put some folks turning up if they are a bit shy or don’t know what to expect. It means they miss out on events.
Saying that everyone had an enjoyable night and sampled some very nice beers
Hopefully someone else will organsie the next one

It was a very enjoyable night, and it was lovely to meet you all. I wasn’t really nervous until the last minute - I’ve been to a few internet meetups (though never in Ireland!) but on those occasions I had been around the online community for a lot longer and got to know people, which made it easy. This was the first time I’d been to a meetup as a newbie, hence the last-minute nervousness. It was well worth it though and I hope to make the Porterhouse on the 18th. Thanks for organising it Laura.
