Viking Re-enactment Day

I went along on  Sunday to see the Viking re-enacmtnet taking place at the National Museum of Ireland. I must say I feel really bad as I’ve been saying for a long time I should go in there and have been meaning to for a number of years, so now that I’m living up here and it’s literally on my front door step I took a stroll around yesterday to have a look.

I’ve taken some pictures of the clothing and artillery they would have used during viking fights.  Butwhat was really interesting to watch was the fighting. So taking some small video clips also of the and didn’t want to embed them all in here after wrecking Donncha’s head already this morning :)

Post Twitter Drinks

So last Saturday after much twittering and blogging from myself and Elly we had a really good turn out from folks. We went to O’Neills and had a good time, thankfully easily spooted by the yellow ballons, good call Elly as to be honest I only knew Elly and George there before hand.

After much chatting, twittering, eating eggs, getting the wifi working, photo taking, and a few  drinks down it was like (well for me) already knowing people before hand.

How do you eat yours

So are we going to do it again? Hell yes! What do you need to do?

Pick a venue, time & date and twitter/blog about it and encourge more face to face meet ups.

Folks that turned up that I have blog details for are :

·         Alexia

·         Anthony

·         Ben

·         Darragh

·         Darren

·         Elly

·         George

·         Niall Larki
